received by the show chair at the mailing address, email address, or fax number below no later than
9:00 PM (EST) Sunday, September 13, 2009. No changes will be accepted after noon (EST) on
Tuesday, September 15, 2009.
(Please use the updated entry form when pre-registering your entries. This makes it much easier and
ensures the accuracy in labeling and tracking your fish. An email with a list of fish and class numbers

Special Note: For the safety of the fish, Dan Young will be receiving the shipments at his place of employment. He
will not be opening any of the boxes.
For anyone who is shipping fish and will be including fish sold to someone else, it must be noted
when you pre-register your fish, and a note should be attached to your entry form. Please make sure
that the bags are marked with the recipient's name. Otherwise, the fish will not be released and will
be considered a donation to the club, unless return shipping was received.
Show Fish: Show fish are to arrive no later than 5:00 PM (EST) Thursday, September 17, 2009. MBC will need
to receive your entry form, fees, and return postage (if necessary) with your fish. Return postage and
entry fees cannot and will not be deducted from auction proceeds.
Please provide a prefilled return mailing label (make sure you fill out your label before sending your
package to ensure that the mailing information is correct), enough empty bags to double bag your
return fish, and heat packs (if desired) with your fish. If you want Delivery Confirmation on Priority
Mail, please send the confirmation slip and the additional fees for using this service.
Any fish arriving that were not pre-registered will not be shown and will be returned to the sender.
Please remember to not feed your fish for at least 48 hours prior to shipping. Adult Bettas
can survive a long time without food, but they die almost immediately in a bag full of
ammonia from their own waste.
Entry Forms: Please completely fill out your entry forms, and mark your fish bags with the consecutive number that
matches up with the entry form. This helps those who help set up who don't know much about the fish.
If you are not sure which class/division your fish belongs in, please list what class/division you think
the fish belongs in, and then in the remarks column, put "HELP". When the judges get the class
sheets, they will know you were not sure where to put the fish, and it will be moved into the
appropriate class if needed.
When entering pairs, please list both fish on the entry form. Each fish in the pair gets assigned its
own number, and this again makes it easier for people who are helping set up who do not know
much about the fish.
Entry Fees: $2.00 for single entries
$3.00 for pairs

Walk-ins: All walk-in fish entries are to arrive by 5:00 PM (EST) Friday, September 18, 2009, unless prior
arrangements have been made with the Show Chair. Walk-in fish must be benched by the entrant and
bagged by the entrant after the show.
Auction Fish: Auction fish sent to the show must arrive by 5:00 PM (EST) Thursday, September 17, 2009. and must be
included on your pre-registration form and the entry form that is included with your fish. The fish must be
marked "Auction" or "Auction Only".
Auction Only fish should include return postage, which will be refunded if unused. If return postage is not
included, the fish will be considered as a donation to the club and will not be returned.
Unless marked otherwise, Auction and Auction Only fish are posted at a minimum bid of $3.00. Auction is
for BETTAS ONLY and aquarium plants, dry goods (tanks, food, etc.) are only accepted for walk-in (no
mail-ins).
Auction Split
Show Fish/Auction: 75% seller and 25% MBC
Auction Only fish: 50% seller and 50% MBC
Plants and dry goods (tanks, food, etc.): 50% seller and 50% MBC
Show Results: NO results will be given out over the phone. They will be posted no later than Sunday evening, or earlier
if possible.
